How to Install the Alpcour Bike Trainer Skewer: Step 1: Push open the quick release lever. This will allow the skewer to loosen up. Unscrew the cap at the opposite end of the skewer. Continue unscrewing the cap until it is completely detached from the skewer threads. Step 2: To withdraw the skewer straight out from the skewer threads, pull on the quick release lever. Step 3: Insert the trainer skewer into the wheel while making sure the quick release lever is facing the left side of the bicycle. Put the spring on with the smaller end pointing toward the wheel, then carefully compress the spring with the cap. Slowly turn the cap with just enough force to attach it without falling off. Lastly, put the wheel into the dropouts, and finish tightening the cap.
